Subtitles of the video are available in French, German, Italian and English.
Textual description of the visual elements of the video:
[00:00] The video starts with music and the Innovation Booster logo. The logo is a yellow and turquoise circle. The logo rotates for a few seconds and then stops. The text “Innovation Booster powered by Innosuisse” appears on the screen, followed by the text “Innovation Booster Technology & Special Needs”.
[00:07] Céline Witschard, co-founder and communication manager of the association Plein Accès Suisse, starts speaking. She is wearing glasses, has brown hair and is dressed in a coral-pink dress. She is sitting on a chair in a flat. To her left is a bookshelf filled with books, board games and decorative objects. To her right is a coffee table with a bonsai tree on it. At the far end of the room is a table surrounded by two benches with green cushions. Five green plants are placed on the table. Behind her, light grey curtains cover windows that span the width of the room.
[00:31] While Céline is speaking, the camera switches to illustrative images: Céline and Alex are sitting at a table talking. In front of them are a computer and a tablet. A zoom focuses on Céline using her computer. We can’t distinguish what is displayed on the screen. In the background, Alex is using a Braille display.
[00:38] The image returns to Céline explaining the project.
[00:48] Alex Bernier, co-founder and president of the association Plein Accès Suisse, starts speaking. He’s sitting where Céline was before, next to the coffee table. He is wearing a red and white striped t-shirt and beige trousers. He has short hair.
[00:58] While Alex is speaking, the camera switches to illustrative images: on a computer screen, the accessible digital media library MonaLira is displayed. A book is suggested. We then see a person click on a button that shows “Text”. A drop-down menu appears, offering a choice of font sizes ranging from 10 to 36 points.
[01:05] The image returns to Alex explaining the project.
[01:08] Céline speaks again.
[01:20] While Céline is speaking, the camera switches back to the illustration image of Céline and Alex talking around a table with a computer, a tablet and a Braille display. We then see a computer screen displaying the MonaLira platform. There is a suggested selection of text formats, in Daisy text, PDF or BRF. The person using the computer selects the PDF format and is redirected to a selection of personalisation options, including font size, page format, line spacing and space between words.
[01:28] The image returns to Céline explaining the project.
[01:37] While Céline is speaking, the camera switches to illustrative images: on a computer screen, a person is using the Lire Confort personalisation tool. They click on a button to activate syllabic colouring. We then see a text in large characters on a white background. Each syllable is coloured differently, alternating between red, green, grey and blue.
[01:44] The image returns to Céline explaining the project.
[01:50] Alex speaks again.
[01:51] While Alex is speaking, the camera switches to illustrative images: glasses are placed on a table next to a computer. Then the shot changes to show a computer screen on which text is displayed after using the Lire Confort personalisation tool. The text is in large font, written in white on a black background.
[01:57] The image returns to Alex explaining the project.
[02:20] The screen goes white. The link to the MonaLira platform is displayed at the top left of the screen: https://www.monalira.org. At the bottom left is the MonaLira logo: the outline of a stylised Mona Lisa with an open book in front of her, with icons representing text and audio formats, Braille and sign language. In the bottom right-hand corner is the Plein Accès logo, with the association’s text and four times the letter P arranged in an arc. The P’s are blue and a character can be seen in the top of the letter.
[02:22] The screen ends with the links to the Innovation Booster Technology & Special Needs www.frh-fondation.ch/innovation-booster and the programme page on the Innosuisse website www.innosuisse.ch/innovationbooster, as well as the hashtag Swiss Innovation Booster. The screen then goes black and the video stops.
