To assess the accessibility of intervention content and methods<\/p>\n<p>2. Identify specific needs and levers\/barriers<\/p>\n<p>3. Assess the perceived impact of the intervention on participants&#8217; self-management behaviour and satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>The main results are :<\/p>\n<p>Accessibility :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The duration of the workshops is adequate More breaks are needed<\/li>\n<li>The optimal group size is 6 to 8 participants<\/li>\n<li>The participative aspect of the workshops is much appreciated by the participants<\/li>\n<li>Modelling is useful to promote understanding by the target audience<\/li>\n<li>For exercises that are done with the eyes closed, a demonstration is necessary beforehand<\/li>\n<li>The participants need help in drawing up the action plan<\/li>\n<li>Support for the action plan is adequate and helpful<\/li>\n<li>Too much information displayed destabilises the participants<\/li>\n<li>The symptom loop diagram poses a problem of understanding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]\n<ul>\n<li>The book is difficult to understand, too bulky and written too small<\/li>\n<li>The content of the workshops was greatly appreciated<\/li>\n<li>The stress management exercises were much appreciated, but more are needed.<\/li>\n<li>Participants expressed needs related to the following themes: balanced diet, physical activity, managing emotions, fatigue and pain.<\/li>\n<li>Participants noted that practical exercises would be helpful<\/li>\n<li>Speaking slowly, using simple words and examples, is helpful in understanding the target audience<\/li>\n<li>Participants and facilitators felt at ease in the group<\/li>\n<li>Participants listened to each other and showed respect and non-judgement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific needs, levers and barriers :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The information session on the project was helpful.<\/li>\n<li>Participants need more information beforehand<\/li>\n<li>The concept of chronic illness was not clear to all participants at the recruitment stage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]\n<ul>\n<li>A room that guarantees confidentiality is needed so that participants feel free to express themselves.<\/li>\n<li>The room should not be too noisy and should be close to the outside.<\/li>\n<li>The institutional bus timetable should be taken into account<\/li>\n<li>Additional rest periods should be provided if participants attend on a day off<\/li>\n<li>Participants noted the importance of not having been financially penalised for missing work to attend the workshops.<\/li>\n<li>Institutional protocols should be taken into account<\/li>\n<li>Educators are an essential day-to-day support for participants but their role in supporting self-management of the disease is not clear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Perceived impact and satisfaction:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The participants said they were very satisfied with the two workshops<\/li>\n<li>The group discussions and the enhancement of their resources and skills were appreciated<\/li>\n<li>The participants (except one) were very satisfied with the completion of their action plan<\/li>\n<li>The application of the tools proposed in the workshops, through the action plan, was helpful for the participants<\/li>\n<li>Several participants discovered new resources<\/li>\n<li>The facilitators were very satisfied with this first experience with the target audience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/frh-fondation.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/startup-594090_1920-300&#215;200.jpg&#8221; alt=&#8221;People are sitting around a table talking.
