Current recommendations call for early detection and diagnosis of ASD, with the aim of promoting early intervention and supporting parents. Today, parents of children with ASD are considered to be real partners in the care of the child. Thus, more and more attention is being paid to ways of supporting and including them in the overall care of their child, and many programmes have been developed over the last decade. Peadiatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) is one of these parent-mediated intervention models.
