Joint Attention
The purpose of this research project is to develop an application to enable students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) to develop skills related to joint attention.
Numerous studies show that computer and tablet programs are popular with children with ASD (Morre & Calvert, 2000). The development of digital tools offers new opportunities to support students with ASD in a variety of learning experiences. Currently, there are few applications focused on learning and training joint attention in the French language. The goal of this project is to co-create in an interdisciplinary manner a playful tool to work on joint attention for children with ASD between the ages of 2 and 18.
Remote Joint Attention
On the basis of the work carried out for the development of the application, the objective is to be able to offer families, via an Internet site, an educational, fun and adapted tool for children diagnosed with ASD, in order to provide remote support during periods of confinement. This tool is developed in partnership with the TSA structure in Sion.
