A team from the University of Applied Sciences and people with mobility disabilities test the Freedom Trax.

Freedom Trax

Improving the accessibility of tourist attractions for people with reduced mobility by integrating assistive technologies into the customer journey

By applying the four-stage Service Design methodology (field, script, staging and production) developed and tested by the HES-SO Valais-Wallis (www.hevs.ch/servicedesign), the project team wishes to understand the problem and solve it.

The case of Freedom Trax, a caterpillar with a chair allowing people with reduced mobility to move on snow and stony paths (summer hiking) will be used as a prototype.
